Sony RM-AAP005 Remote Repair Details

This Sony Av system remote control arrived safely from London and on inspection the pause button seems to have been ripped from the membrane. When tested many of the buttons were non responsive / intermittent.
When opened there was liquid inside the controller and corrosion in the print around and under the main ICs (see images), the print was cleared of all contaminants which restored functionality to some of the buttons but sadly many were still inoperative. This was due to the corrosion in the print. Unfortunately due to the corrosion a repair is not possible (a full PCB would be required and also the button array, which are not available as spares).
These remotes do appear on eBay quite often which is the most likeliest place to obtain a replacement.
