Totally dead, batteries changed in both transmitter and receiver.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Hunter Stoves gas fire remote control and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the display of the remote was found to be shattered (see image) and also the receiver has suffered a major battery leak.
Replacement screens are not available as spares meaning the remote cannot be repaired and also the amount of damage in the receiver has deemed it beyond repair.
