Customer's Fault Description
no light comes on when switched on so doesnt operate. changed the batteries but still no response
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This motor mover remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to not power up.
On opening there was small bits of tin foil inside the remote, this is most likely from someone previously trying to make a battery connection more stable. This is very bad for electronics and is strongly advised against.
There was a tiny corrosion spot in the print which was causing an open circuit, the print was reworked which restored full functionality.
The battery terminals were also replaced as they had signs of a battery leak corrosion.
