Customer's Fault Description
The wires that are attached to the remote control need a new cover over and checking that the wires are all attached properly. Wire cover has split.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This recliner remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a damaged cable and also worn button contacts.  A replacement straight cable was fitted (we cannot get the curly kind) and then replacement conductive pads were glued under all buttons.
