Customer's Fault Description
One evening the remote worked fine, the next evening it would not switch on the machine although the machine itself worked fine manually.If switched on manually the machine did not respond to buttons on the remote. I checked the batteries which had a good charge & then for good measure put new ones in. The remote still did not work & no light seemed to be emitted from the sender lens.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This DVD player/Video cassette recorder Model HV-DX3E remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.

This was found to be due to one of the battery terminals being rusted.  The terminal was replaced which restored full functionality.
