Customer's Fault Description
only works every now and again when pressing the red marker, even with a new battery. also I have to press the battery down as it seems loose.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This garage door remote control arrived safely and on inspection ws missing its battery cover, this cannot be replaced wit ha new one as spares are not available.
On testing the remote was dead. There was signs of corrosion on one of the battery terminals frlom a battery leak. This was etched clean but the remote was still dead.
When opened the other terminal was found to have brokmen away from teh PCB (see images). This was soldered firmly back into place which restored full functionality.
A custom battery cover was created that will hold the battery in place when the back clip is in place (see image).
