Customers Fault Description : Intermittent control function when cable makes and breaks

This Recliner remote control arrived safely and on inspection the vinyl front cover was missing, this cannot be replaced as spares are not available).
The cable was confirmed to be badly damaged, a replacement straight cable weas fitted (we cannot get the curly kind)
