Customer's Fault Description
Frequently used buttons v.slow to work (sometimes never but seem to recover after a rest), i.e. Fast forward, Play, Direct naigator, Skip +60s, and a few others that are not so bad.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Blu-Ray Disc Recorder (DMR-BWT1700) remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have some non responsive / sluggish buttons.

When opened this was found to be due to contamination over the PCB and button pads (see image).  This was all cleared and the button array heat treated.  This restored full functionality to all buttons.
