Customers Fault Description : Changed battery multiple times, double tap on/off button doesn't seem to be doing anything
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to not respond to its double power button press.
This was found to be due to "dead spots" in the ribbon edge connector, this was cut back to bypass the spots. This restored full funciotnality.
The battery cable was then replaced as the original was very short and tight.
