The handset charges OK but won't pair with my trolley

This golf trolley remote control arrived safely and on testing was foudn to illuminate biut not transmit when the buttons are pressed, in fact it appeared to be transmitting when no button is pressed and then stop when any button was pressed.

As the button array was working it was remedied by replacing the entire PCB.  This restored full functionality.
