Ultra Frame Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Ultra Frame
Customers Fault Description : Vent Control Button
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Ultraframe Light / Fan Unit remote control arrived safely and on inspection the button facia was physically damaged.
When tested the remote was transmitting without a button being pressed./
Replacement button facias are not available as spares which makes a cosmetically sound repair not possible.
The issue appears to be a short within the button array itself, this may be fixable but we will need to split the facia apart to hopefully rectify the issue.
Please note that splitting the facia apart may destroy the remote even further.
After talking to the customer it was decided to go ahead and attempt a repair, the facia was split and cleaned then replacement button caps fitted under the bad buttons. This restored full functionality.
