Becker Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Becker
Customers Fault Description : Remote appears to be faulty. We opened the awning with it on Friday morning but it wouldn’t close later in the day. A green light flashes on the remote but it used to stay lit while the button was pressed. I have since been able to close the awning manually using a button on the awning which would seem to confirm a faulty remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Sun awning remote control arrived safely and on testing weas found to be transmitting as per normal operation.
The remote was opened to check for defects but no fault could be replicated.
The RF signal being transmitted was strong and consistent at the expected 868Mhz (see image)
The green light remains solidly lit when tested and we have not been able to replicated a flashing light issue.
It might be that the customers batteries were an issue as this remote will flash if a low power source is used.
The customer is to re-test using brand new quality batteries on return. If the problem persists then try to pair the remote with the receiver again in case its simply lost its pairing (this is something we cannot do here as its needs to be present with the receiver).
It might be possible that the receiver itself is and issue, just because manual controls work doesn't mean remote receiver functionality is working
