Customers Fault Description : Buttons no longer operate motor, leds not working either
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on inspection the canter screw fixing was broken. On opening the cable was found to be incorrectly soldered. there were 3 breaks in the print from someone trying to pry open the item and scratching the print, 2 diodes were missing (broken away from the print from the forced opening. The button contacts were coated in conductive paint on all buttons.
The print was repaired and diodes replaced. Then the cable was replaced with a replacement straight cable and the conductive paint removed, proper conductive pads were then glued into place (its not advised to use conductive paint as this will eventually contaminate and short out the PCB)
