Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Garage door remote (PDTKF04-433RC) arrived safely and on inserting batteries was confirmed to have a permanent illuminated LED without any button being pressed. The LED should illuminate initially then stop after 2 to 3 seconds. There was no response to any button press.
The PCB was found to have a lot of contamination which included shorting out the pins of the main IC. The PCB was given an alcohol bath to remote all contaminates. This restore normal functionality to the remote.
Its important to note that we have no way of knowing if the "secret code" is correct as there is a risk that when being submerged in water it may have wiped the remotes programming. The customer is to test the remote fully on return. If it doesn't work with the receiver the customer may need to pair the remote with the receiver (this is something we cannot do as it needs to be in the vicinity of the receiver).
