Mertik Maxitrol GSR - HISO Remote Repair Details

Model : GSR - HISO
Customers Fault Description : Initially the "increase" button didn't work once the Gas Fire was lit. I changed the battery in case low voltage was the problem. However, after a few button presses with the new battery the gas fire stopped responding to any of the button presses. The red confirmation light shows when some of the buttons are pressed so I assume the battery is working but the gas fire does not respond.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be functioning as normal on each button press. The up button only actuates when pressed at the same time as the bottom left, this is normal functionality.
The remote was tested randomly over a 24 hour period with no issues being replicated. This item, has been classed as no fault found.
