Customers Fault Description : One of the coil contacts in the battery compartment has corroded and dropped out. I see you have repaired these before.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This ID8 ceiling fan/light controller arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a badly rusted battery terminal. This made the remote dead.
The terminal pair was replaced which restored full functionality.
