Customer's Fault Description
Damaged wiring at the base of the controller. Green wire may be on wrong post. Black wire too short to fix at the moment.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This MiChair remote control arrived safely and on inspeciton was found to have a damaged cable at the remote entry point. A continuity test was carried out and a couple of cores were found to have intermittent continuity dependant on the flexing of the cable.
A replacement straight cable was fitted. The customer stated that the green wire might be soldered in the incorrect place. As long as NO other wires ever became disconnected then the green wire has to be in the correct position as the only other solder point was a null connection (see images).
All components on the PCB (Microswitches, resistor and LED) were all tested as ok.
