Homcom Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Homcom
Customers Fault Description : Not working to turn on treadmill, have sent it to you before (ref number: RF12257) Tried a new battery and no luck!
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This treadmill remote arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminal were bent which would effectively short any battery that was inserted and effectively create a dead remote (this is the same issue as last time in 2022)
The terminal was bent back into the correct position and when adding a battery full functionality was restored.
IMPORTANT - An Energizer battery will be supplied fitted on return, this batteries should last for quite some time and does not need to be removed until it is time to change the batteries. It is VERY important to carefully note the position of the terminals when it comes time to replace the batteries to prevent the same issue happening again. This is caused by user error when inserting the batteries and can easily happen again if care is not taken.
