Customers Fault Description : Regardless of fresh batteries the remote ceases to function

This CHV20N  Electric Fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

When removing the customers batteries the terminals had signs of a battery leak.  The terminals were reworked which restored full functionality.
