Valor Petros Chrome 850 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : There are 4 buttons on the control - On/Off which has to be used for any function, a Lamp button which activates the fires lights without any heat and Heat 1 and Heat 2 which as they say provide two levels of heat settings as well as illuminating the fire light. The On / Off function work as do the Heat 1 and 2 buttons and fire light comes on when the Heat 1 or 2 are pressed. THe only function that has stopped working is the 'Lamp' only button.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to have a non functioning button and sluggish other button.
On opening there was a large amount of contamination over the button contacts (see image). This was all cleared and then replacement conductive pads glued under each button. Full fucnitonality was restored.
