Customer's Fault Description
Whilst both these remotes have worked historically alongside two others we have which still do work, and with a decent battery, they show a red light to suggest they are transmitting a signal, the garage doors don't respond by opening or closing. I have tried pairing them again just in case it was the issue, but even having done this they still do not operta ethe doors as they used to.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
These two Garage door remote controls arrived safely and on testing both were found not to transmit a signal.
The first was opened and found to have a broken aerial coil, this was repaired but sadly the remote was still not transmitting. A component test was carried out but it was found that the issue was most likely the PIC chip which makes a repair on this remote not possible.
The second remote was found to have a faulty oscillator, once the oscillator was replaced full functionality was restored (see image)
