Customers Fault Description : Volume control not working and that it is what it’s mainly used for
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to have sluggish volume controls.
When opened the button contacts were found to have started to decompose and contaminate the PCB (see image).
The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads were glued under the effected buttons.
Full functionality was restored. One of the battery terminals had corrosion present, this was etched clean and replated as a precaution.
