Customer's Fault Description
All of a sudden most buttons failed to produce a response (by which I mean that the red light wouldn't light up).
<br /><br />
Clockwise from bottom left, the failing buttons are:
<br />Timer
<br />Mode
<br />On/off
<br />Temp up (works intermittently)
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Portable Air conditioning unit remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have some non responsive buttons.
This was found to be the pins soldering around the main IC being cracked. The solder was reflowed which restored full functionality.
