Homebase AF 10000E Remote Repair Details

Model : AF 10000E

Customers Fault Description : All of a sudden most buttons failed to produce a response (by which I mean that the red light wouldn't light up).

Clockwise from bottom left, the failing buttons are:
Timer
Mode
On/off
Temp up (works intermittently)

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Portable Air conditioning unit remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have some non responsive buttons.

This was found to be the pins soldering around the main IC being cracked. The solder was reflowed which restored full functionality.
