Customer's Fault Description
The remote does not seem to be working at all, replacement of batteries does not recitify the issue. The light for the IR isn't coming on whenever buttons are pressed, even with fresh batteries.

This Tower Fan remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.

This was found to be due to corrosion on the negative terminal, the corrosion was etched clean which restored full functionality.
