The wire for the battery connects loose so full battery not turning handset on.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on testing was dead due to a broken battery cable, the cable was replaced and then it was found that the voltage regulator was also faulty.  Once the regulator was replaced full functionality was restored.
