Customer's Fault Description
The remote has stopped operating the fire. We are advised that this remote is now obsolete as the sixth button which operates led lights either side of the fire does not appear on the current remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Wall mounted electric fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.

This was due to a bad battery terminal, it appeared to have corrosion from an apparent battery leak.  The terminal was reworked which restored full functionality.
