Customer's Fault Description
It was working but needed new batteries. I replaced the batteries and it just appeared to die. Screen is blank.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Velux remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening there was corrosion found over many of the pins of the main IC and surrounding print (see image).
Due to this damage a repair is not possible.
