Customers Fault Description : Battery level display continues to flash when new battery fitted. Unable to use SET/Off, and flame level buttons.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This gas fire remote arrived safely and on testing was found to have an erroneous battery indicator and a very weak RF signal.

This was due to a faulty voltage regulator.  The regulator and battery cable were both replaced which restored full functionality.
