Customers Fault Description : A metal plate to insert batteries has detached and remote won’t switch on

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This gas fire remote control arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a detached battery terminal.

The terminal was resoldered back into position which restored full functionality.
