Customer's Fault Description
REMOTE STOPPED COMMUNICATING WITH THE PREAMPLIFIER.
NO REMOTE FUNCTIONS AVAILABLE.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote control arrived safely and on inspeciton the back battery cover was damaged and looks yto have been drilled through on two screw holes.
On testing the remote was found to be dead.
There was signs of corrosion all over the PCB from an apparent battery leak. A component test was carried out but the issue could not be pin pointed. The oscillator was replacved but the remote remained dead. It was concluded that the issue is likely with the main IC.
A repair was not possible in this case.
