Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Dimplex remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting without any button being pressed. This was found to be due to contamination over the button array from decomposing contacts. The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads were glue dunder both buttons. This restored full funcitonality.
The terminals were also replaced as they had signs of corrosion from an apparent battery leak.
