Customers Fault Description : The remote control seems to have stopped working. I changed cable as you suggested but still not working. This may be water damage as we think water was spilt on it.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Riser Recliner Chair Remote Control arrived safely and on inspection the cable was missing. When opened the power button was found to have started to decompose and contaminate the PCB (see image). The PCB was also found to have remnants of liquid contamination. The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then a replacement conductive pad was glued under the main power button. A replacement cable was then fitted.
The customer is to test the remote fully on return (we cannot plug these remotes in as we do not have a chair for testing)
