No life to remote - have replaced batteries.

This Gas fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
When opened the terminals were found ot have signs of a battery leak. The terminals were etched clean and replated using SCP. The print around the terminals was also neutralised to prevent further corrosion.
Ful functionality was restored.
