Mertik maxitrol g6rr4am Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Mertik maxitrol
Model : g6rr4am
Customers Fault Description : No communication between the 2
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was found to be transmitting as per normal, but the receiver would not respond.
On opening the receiver the terminals had signs of a battery leak.
The voltage regulator was reading less than 3 volts in the receiver. The regulator was replaced which did restore communication, but the range is extremely poor. There were also signs on one of the ICs of corrosion from the battery leak.
Sadly, when these items have suffered a battery leak a repair is not possible due to non-existent service information.
Replacement receivers can be found on ebay as this is where Mertik Maxitrol distribute their stock.
