Gazco Mertik Maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The button to turn the gas flow up does not work. The bottom button (to turn the gas flow down) does work so I know its not the receiver on the fire itself.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This gas fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be functioning on both channels with our test receiver. The remote was then tested over a 24 hour period at random intervals with no fault being replicated.
It is most likely that the issue is with the receiver itself.
