Mertik Maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Mertik Maxitrol

Customers Fault Description : Gas service engineer soldered a wire as wasn't working. Has stopped again as red wire loosely intact but black is disconnected.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Gas Fire (Yeoman CL5) remote control arrived safely and on testing was dead due to a damaged battery cable.  AS replacement battery cable was fitted which restored full functionality.

PLEASE NOTE - the supplied battery was 5volts instead of 9 volts, the customer will need to get a new battery on return, the dead battery will be disposed of.
