Customers Fault Description : Powers on, however the red mode button normally changes it from off to on and send a little rf signal which is displayed on thr remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Fireplace remote arrived safely and on testing was found to not respond to any of its button presses.
When opened there was signs of a battery leak causing corrosion. One SMD was found to have corroded away from the PCB, once replaced the remote would then respond to its mode switch and the backlight would also illuminate.
The customer is to test the remote fully on return.
