Gazco Studio Inset 105 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Remote stopped connecting to the fire. Then stopped working altogether (light stopped lighting up on remote)
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Electric Fire Remote control arrived safely and on inspection the case was broken with the mounting screw holes being missing due to a forced opened and the battery cover was also missing.
Spare cases or battery covers cannot be fitted as they are not available.
On testing the remote was dead. The print around the LED was found to be cracked. This was reworked which restored power to the remote.'
The remote also has a secondary fault whereby occasionally the LED would stay illuminated. This is the main IC at fault which isn't a repairable item.
Due to this issue a clone remote control was created using a 4 button key fob remote at no extra charge as a backup.
