Customer's Fault Description
This is a spare remote to operate the garage door. There is no power up, even when I have fitted a brand new battery.
I wish to have this spare up and running for back-up.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening there was contamination over the PCB near the LED. This was cleaned up and reworked. This did appear to restore a RF signal (see image) but he LED still does not illuminate.
We are not charging for a repair in this case, this customer is to test the remote on return. The plastic button cap was repaired with hot glue, when testing please press the canter of the button as it will be temperamental when pressed at the sides.
A Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return
