Customer's Fault Description
Remote isn’t working and has a rattling noise when you shake it. Parts on inside seem to loose and disconnected
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to rattle when shook and was dead.
The vanity metal weight had broken away from the case and was shorting parts of the PCB. This was secured back into position and reinforced using hot glue. The battery terminals were then reformed to create a more solid power connection.
Ful functionality was restored. The battery cover was found to be missing both of its retaining pins. A replacement cover was fitted from a scrap remote (its not perfect but does hold the cover in place, brand new battery covers are not available as spares)
