None of the buttons operate.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.

This was found to be due to contaminated battery terminals from an apparent battery leak (see image).  The terminals were all cleared of contaminants which restored power.  It was then found that the volume down button was sluggish in response.  This was due to worn button contacts. Replacement conductive pads were glued int o place.
