Customer's Fault Description
The extractor fan has power and works fine, but is stuck on. The remote control no longer has any function operating, I have changed the battery. The lights still show on the hand set. I opened the remote control and the PCB is not fixed in position.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This extractor fan remote control arrived safely and on inspection the PCB was loose inside the case but when moved into position the remote was found to transmit a strong RF signal on all button presses (see image).
As the customers fault diagnosis states that the remote was lighting up but not effecting the cooker hood it is possible that the remote requires either pairing with the hood or it could be a fault with the receiver.
We can hot glue the PCB into position, but this is a chargeable repair and will not rectify the customer's issue.
