Customer's Fault Description
Remote control and connecting cable. One of the wires split so attempted a solder repair but cables too short for this to work.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on inspection all mounting screw holes were internally broken, the screens plastic cover had a crack along it and the remote held together using tape.  The cable was found to be badly damaged.

A replacement straight cable was fitted and then the case glued together.
