Mertik Maxitrol G30 Remote-Reciever Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Mertik Maxitrol
Model : G30 Remote-Reciever
Customers Fault Description : HAND-SET BUTTONS APPEAR TO BE OPERATING OK RED LED FLASHING BUT WHEN LEAVING REMOTE DOWN EITHER TURNING GAS UP OR TURNING OFF WITH OUT ANY MANUAL PHYSICAL COMMAND?
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing was found to function as normal on both the up and down channel and the receiver would respond accordingly.
There is signs of a small battery leak on one of the battery terminals in the receiver (see image).
Once these receivers suffer a battery leak no matter how severe they can develop intermittent faults including the lack of response (but also can turn the hater on without intervention) but without seeing a fault its not possible to know what the actual issue is.
The pair were tested over a 24 hour period at random intervals without any issue being replicated the 6volt +/- output was also confirmed to be present when actuating the receiver.
