Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Beolink 1000 remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
The battery compartment had signs of a battery leak which was indeed stopping power getting to the PCB. The terminals were reworked which restored power to the PCB but the remote remained dead.
After an extensive component test was carried out it was eventually concluded that the issue is most likely with the main IC which may have sustained damage from the battery breakdown.
Unfortunately, this has rendered a repair not possible.
