batteries where never a great fit, then was close to hob and side melted a bit, still worked. had to wrap tape around it tight to work. tried pulling at battery connectors to make tighter fit but think maybe now lost connection to circuit board?
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This extractor hood REXT720 remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.  When opened the internal terminals were broken away from the PCB.  These were resoldered firmly back into position which restored full functionality.

The front case has signs of damage, spare cases are not available which is why we do not carry out cosmetic repairs.
