Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection the cable was cut. A replacement cable was fitted (we could only fit the straight flat cable)
On opening the button contacts were found to have contamination on their contacts from decomposing button contacts. Replacement conductive pads were glued into place and the PCB cleared of all contaminants.
One of the ICs was also found to have a split in its casing, this isn't available as a spare but it is also now known if this will cause a fault.
The customer is to test the remote fully on return.
