This Cooker hood remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to function as intended. There was numerous spots of contamination over the PCB (see image). This is most likely the reason for the intermittent functionality but without replicating the fault it is guesswork.
After talking to the customer it was decided to clear the PCB of all contaminants. This was done and a limited component test carried out with no further issues being found.
The customer is to test the remote out fully on return. A Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return.
