BSSB MMG2:R01091-01 Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : BSSB
Model : MMG2:R01091-01
Customers Fault Description : Control no longer holds power, even when directly plugged into a power source. It will light up however doesn’t send a signal. Also seems to be loose connections under the buttons, when the control did work, had to push down quite hard to send a signal from the remote. Not sure if a solder issue.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This BSSB TV Lift remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to charge as normal.
It is possible that the issue is that the customer is using a non rechargeable battery. This remote will not work without a rechargeable battery being inserted. The battery required is a LIR2032 which can be found at https://ebay.us/cS5JI7 (one will be supplied fitted on return). The battery terminals were reformed in case of a loose connection.
The "rattle" within this remote is the buttons knocking against the case, this is normal. No foreign object was found inside.
Some of the buttons were found to have worn button contacts, these contacts were cleaned and then replacement pads glued into place. This restored full functionality to all buttons.
