Customer's Fault Description
The remote doesn't open or close the garage door even when standing next to it. The battery has been replaced but the light remains weak. We have two but one is working intermittently. If you can repair the first one we will send the second one back for you to have a look at.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to have erratic functionality. The buttons were found to have bad contacts and also the negative battery terminal was breaking away from the PCB (see image).
All 3 buttons were replaced and then the terminal soldered back into place which restored full functionality.
